New World Virtual Tours and Tastings started as a wine tour company offering elevated wine tours in Niagara and Prince Edward County with a team of wine professionals and sommeliers. After moving wine tastings virtually in 2020, it quickly became clear, why stop there?
Now with Whisky, Tequila, Rum, Sake, Beer, Cocktails, Chocolate, Coffee, and Tea coming soon… all with a focus on creating great experiences that take our guests on a journey (tour) through their tasting.
Specializing in small-group tourism and curated experiences, we’ve taken that to the virtual space with a focus on smaller groups that allows for a conversation, not just a presentation or live stream online. With so much watchable content online, we really wanted to focus on creating a space for conversation.
Our industry experts have years of experience in their field, backed with education they are great for answering questions on the spot as well as curating tastings based thousands of tastings, personal visits to distilleries, wineries, and years of education.

Mackenzie Putici | Founder & Sommelier
Mackenzie is the founder of New World Wine Tours and Eating Through TO.
After traveling the world tasting wines across Europe, Asia, Africa, and The Americas he’s returned home to promote the love of wine in Toronto. As a CMS certified sommelier, sake scholar, wine & spirits educator, and culinary tourism innovator he crafts intimate tours and wine events. Creating community through food and drink is a passion he looks forward to sharing with you.

Shirley Lum | Chocolate Judge
As the founder of A Taste of the World, she’s been opening the eyes, awakening palates and all the senses of visitors, newcomers & long-time Toronto residents on intimate Foodie events since 1993.
On the off-hours, she successfully completed George Brown College (GBC) Professional Chocolatier Certificate program in Spring 2016. A chocoholic dream volunteer job comes along: judging panel and Grand Jury for the Canadian leg of the International Chocolate Awards
Spencer | Whisky Expert
Spencer Gooderham is the seventh generation, direct descendent of the Gooderham Family who built Canada’s first and largest distillery dating back to 1832.
He served as the Canadian Whisky Ambassador for one of the largest spirit companies in the world, enjoying several years of traveling Canada and spreading his knowledge and passion for whisky coast-to-coast. Spencer has cut the corporate ties and settled down to share his love of whisky in his own way, a little closer to home.

Paul Tseng | Coffee Educator
Paul Tseng is am a multi-disciplinary designer, coder of websites, creator of board games, fixed-gear cyclist and brewer of delicious coffee!
For Paul, coffee began as a part-time job, but the craft of the dark liquid we call coffee pulled him in and has kept me curious ever since.
Paul’s coffee journey is constantly evolving, and these days he primarily creates educative Youtube videos where he strives towards mastering everyday coffee through a thirst for knowledge, exploration and science!
Paige | Sommelier
Paige McIntyre is a virtual tasting host since 2020 and a sommelier at Blueblood Steakhouse in Casa Loma in Toronto. She has been studying wine for the past 5 years and has been mentored by some of Canada’s best palates. She recently had the privilege to be an Apprentice Judge for the Canadian National Wine Awards in 2019. According to Paige wine should be approachable and fun for both the guest and sommelier in order to love, learn, and be immersed in the beverage experience.
She spends her free time wining and dining in Toronto, visiting vineyards in Niagara and Prince Edward County, and sipping on Cru Beaujolais (or bubbly!) with friends.
Graeme Sutherland | Beer Brewer
Graeme comes from a dual background of both tourism and beer. In addition to years of experience as a tour guide in both France and Italy, Graeme also worked as a brewer in London (UK) following some formal training at Siebel Institute. Finally back in Canada, he is now revelling in Ontario’s booming beer and wines scenes and is sharing his enthusiasm through his tastings.
Claire Freel | Mixologist & Spirits Expert
Claire rew up in Niagara where she found her passion for beverages. While travelling the world she expanded her passion and experience.
She has worked in all facets of the hospitality industry from restaurants, bars, and hotels to breweries, wineries and distilleries. Claire holds a Diploma in beverage and business from George Brown and has represented international spirit brands for marketing and education.
Adrian Marquez | Sommelier
Adrian Marquez, Anthropologist, Sommelier, Entrepreneur. 20 years experience in hospitality, 17 years a Sommelier. Head Sommelier and founding team of Charlies’ Burgers, ‘one of the top food and wine experiences in the world’. Founder of Agaru, the next wave of hospitality metrics.
A proud Canadian immigrant from Mexico City, has lived in Los Angeles, Leshan, China and Kyoto, Japan. Fluent in English and Spanish, speaks Japanese like a 4 year old.
Loves jungles, beaches, biodiversity, organic and biodynamic wine, disco music, hikes, absurd long walks, learning, teaching not preaching. Techno hippie, well rounded nerd.
Charles Steven | Sommelier & Guide
Charles Steven Trenholme has spent a long career in the wine business having introduced the wines from six continents into the Canadian market. He holds a Diploma from the UK Wines & Spirits Education Trust and the German Wine Academy. He has taught wine appreciation at Humber College, George Brown College and IWEG. Since 1992,
Charles Steven has conducted the twice annual seminar “Importing Wines, Beers, Spirits For Pleasure & Profit” which has led many people into careers in the wine business. He is also an accomplished cook having taken cooking classes in Paris, Rome, New Orleans, Hong Kong and Marrakesh.
Eduardo | Wine Tour Guide
Eduardo Rodriguez or ‘Edu’ is native to Spain, and has a long history of guiding and management in the tourism industry. After several years in London, and the food and wine paradise that is Tuscany, Edu is excited to share the gastronomic wonders of Ontario with our guests.
Now based Prince Edward County, he also assists his wife Andrea with their company The County Picnic.
Nael Hamwi | Graphic Designer
Nael Hamwi provides us with beautiful graphics and digital collateral for our promotional materials and virtual tastings. Nael is a freelance graphic designer, animator, and 3D sculptor.
He specializes in concept design and 3D modelling. He consults with companies for brand creation, and layout design. Among these: Digital Leisure and Rogers TV. Mostly recently he’s been working with Secret Location to create VR games.
